Time to get all up in yo Christmas!
I realized I watch so much Netflix that it could be considered a part time job. And while my expertise is mainly in documentaries, sci-fi television, and old classic movies, don’t let that scare you away. I still watch tons in other categories! Except really scary movies–not a big fan of scaring the crap out of myself. I like having clean underwear. Anyway, here are my picks for some solid Christmas vibes.
Love Actually // This is by far the best Christmas movie of all time. “To me, you are perfect.” Enough said. Starring: every British actor ever. Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, and Bill Nighy are some of my faves.
The Nightmare Before Christmas // This movie creeps me out but it’s still a classic to be admired. Directed by Tim Burton.
Batman Returns // And another Tim Burton movie. It’s campy, but it’s Batman. Starring: Michelle HottyMcHotterson Pfeiffer as the hottest Catwoman ever, Michael Keaton as Batman, and Danny Devito as Penguin. Bonus: Christopher Walken.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas // JTT anyone? I threw this one in just for the Teen Beat era nostalgia. Starring: Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Jessica Biel.
Fireplace for Your Home // Netflix, we love you and I think you love us back. Video of a fireplace burning to get us 100 percent in the Christmas spirit? You think of everything.
I’ll be watching for the first time: White Christmas. I can’t wait to start this classic. Singing, dancing, holiday cheer, and 1950s musical grandeur… How can I go wrong? Starring: Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney’s aunt).
