This one time (in April! It is now July), Sarah and I decided to throw a last minute pop-up picnic. We invited all eligible ladies in the land to bring a snack and a blanket, or nothing at all. I mean eligible as in free, not single and ready to swipe right (I’m going for an old timey feel here). We met at Curran Apple Orchard in University Place, WA and simply sat under an apple tree in the sun, chatted, and snacked. Our plan is to have at least one more before the summer ends, and perhaps I’ll even blog that one before fall. 😉
There’s just something about picnics. As much as you try to style your table scape over a picnic blanket, everything’s still a little bit messy and carefree. I like that. It’s also a bit nomadic, which is freeing to me. Oh, and picnic blankets are so beautiful! Whether it’s a Northwesty Pendleton, a pretty gingham, or an old Mexican blanket… Look at me talking about absolutely nothing.
The point of these is to have quality girl time, be silly, talk, snap photos and to exist outside in beautiful setting. I even met a few people I hadn’t met in person before. I can’t wait until the next one!
