A Girl And Her Coat

I don’t know about you, but I am so unmotivated to dress up in the winter. It’s cold, the weather isn’t the best (especially if you live in the Pacific Northwest like me), and I feel like a big bear. That is, a big bear in hibernation who ate way too much Christmas dinner. The light at the end of the bear cave, errr, tunnel, for me is a big, furry coat. I found this one on sale for $12 at Value Village and it’s my most complimented article of clothing. I have no idea if it’s real fur, but I love everything about it. I love the fur lining on the bottom and how it swings a little. I love that it’s long and in natural colors. I love that I’m making a statement with the fur but I don’t stand out too much (I’m in hibernation after all). It makes me feel good.

When in doubt, throw a statement coat over your favorite boyfriend tee (Alexander Wang, similar), jeans (Paige, similar), and boots (Uggs if you can believe it). Hat optional, glasses necessary for the blind.

Black and brown together is always a win. They’re both neutrals so it works.
